#wip Nobles are, by the lore, the aristocratic leading family members of a given [[House]]. Nobles are represented in the game as a unit. These units follow normal rules for units, they can fight, be transported, heal and route as normal, but with a few extra additions. See [[Noble|Noble]] under the "Units" section. # Faction Critical Element The following information only applies to a [[House]] and does not impact factions that are non-playable, such as Rebels or the Church or League. ### Voting The presence of a Noble is required in order for voting to elect a [[Regent]], which occurs every 10 years on [[Byzantium II]]. The noble must start it's turn on the surface of the planet in order to See [[Voting]] ### Losing the Game If you would start your turn without controlling a noble, you lose the game immediately. If you would control a [[Ministry]] faction that has a Noble, that counts for both voting and preventing you from losing the game. #unverified This saving grace persists until you lose control of the ministry. Your nobles are of critical importance to your faction and you should strive to protect them at all costs. See [[Winning and losing the game]] ### Combat Bonuses *The following information only applies during a [[Combat]]. The bonuses provided applies in offense, defense, on the surface of planets and in space. The specific values provided is sourced from [[Vanilla]].* A noble provides both [[Accuracy and Agility]](+1) and [[Agility]](+1) bonuses to all other friendly units in the [[Stack]] participating in the same battle as the noble. In addition, the noble provides a [[Loyalty]] bonus to the same units, effectively making your units more resistant to [[Routing]].
