- - - *Reduce the number of labs of an opponent to 0 to wipe all technologies.* - - - Destroying (or preventing ownership of) the Last lab of a house means they lose all their technologies. For games that reached far technologically, recovery can be excessively slow or even untenable. It is for this reason this tactic is referred to as a "Technology Kill" or "Tech Kill" for short. Recovery can be aided by allies, but a single ally is still bound by the restriction of one outgoing technology sharing request per faction per turn. Still, the presence of allies that can serve as "Technological Backup" greatly limits this tactic. ### Technology Kill: Execution In order to perform a "Tech Kill" on someone, you need to reduce their controlled Labs to zero. #wip everything below It may be wise to Raze the cities you know you cannot defend, if doing this over many turns. Bear in mind that defending against this tactic is easy as you only require one surviving lab hidden away somewhere. It is therefore always recommened to have at least one or more "Secret Laboratories". Even a Lab that is under your command, but belong to a ministry will protect you from losing all your technologies. ### Technology Kill in Mods: Labs may be harder to come by in mods, perhaps not even being allowed construction. Some mods skew the importance of certain early game technologies or late ones. If later technologies are very improtant, and Labs are hard to come by, you may consider this tactic as more important to consider using and defending against.
